The Houston Rockets and the Cleveland Cavaliers do battle at the Rocket Arena on Wednesday night. Here’s a Houston Rockets vs Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction. This article will include a Houston Rockets vs Cleveland Cavaliers Pick.
Houston Rockets Betting Preview
The Houston Rockets have been on fire as they’ve reeled off nine wins from their last 10 games and they will be gunning for a fifth straight victory after outlasting the Magic in a 117-113 overtime win on Sunday. Kevin Durant led the way with 35 points, five rebounds, and six assists on 13 of 24 shooting. Alperen Sengun added 30 points with 12 rebounds and eight assists on 11 of 31 shooting while Reed Sheppard chipped in with 16 points on six of 11 shooting off the bench.
As a team, the Rockets shot just 42 percent from the field and eight of 20 from the 3-point line as they turned to Sengun who drained the game-tying basket at the end of the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime. Before Durant delivered with a clutch basket late to keep the win streak alive.
Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in great shape as they’ve won seven of their last nine games and they will be aiming for a third straight win after routing the Bucks in a 118-106 win on Monday. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 37 points and seven assists on 14 of 22 shooting, Sam Merrill added 20 points on seven of 10 shooting while Evan Mobley chipped in with 14 points, six rebounds and six assists.
As a team, the Cavaliers shot 56 percent from the field and 15 of 35 from the 3-point line as they really had to work their way back from an early 14-point deficit. They didn’t pull away until the fourth quarter where they held the Bucks to just 18 points to win comfortably in the end. The Cavaliers didn’t get much from their reserves but didn’t need it as Mitchell and the rest of the starters were firing from the second quarter onwards.

Houston Rockets vs Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction
The Rockets are still missing Tari Eason and Dorian Finney-Smith with Jabara Smith Jr listed as questionable, while the Cavaliers have ruled out Max Strus and Darius Garland with Sam Merrill listed as questionable. Both teams are coming into this meeting with plenty of momentum so we should be in for a good one. The Rockets won both meetings last season, they are playing well and now they have Durant in the lineup, so they would love their chances against this Cavaliers squad.
I am a little surprised that the Cavaliers aren’t favorites at home, but they’re a little thin on 3-point shooting if Merrill isn’t able to suit up here. Maybe it’s the shiny new thing that I am attracted to, but the new-look Rockets look great with Sengun and Durant both contributing and I think they maintain their momentum with another win here.
