Golden State Warriors Betting Preview
The Golden State Warriors have been in a slump as they’ve lost six of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping for a better result after coming up just short to the Pelicans in a 113-109 road defeat last night. De’Anthony Melton led the team in scoring with 28 points, Moses Moody added 24 points, Brandin Podziemski tallied 16 points with 15 rebounds off the bench while Draymond Green chipped in with 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists. As a team, the Warriors shot just 41 percent from the field and 11 of 45 from the 3-point line as they suffered a slow start and had to claw their way back from an early 14-point deficit to take the lead in the fourth quarter, before the Pelicans responded with a 14-3 run to reclaim the lead for good.
Memphis Grizzlies Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have been in terrible shape as they’ve lost 12 of their last 15 games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting beaten by the ice-cold Kings in a 123-114 loss on Monday. Javon Small led the team with 21 points and nine assists off the bench, Olivier-Maxence Prosper added 17 points on nine of nine shooting while GG Jackson chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 48 percent from the field and 12 of 34 from the 3-point line as they poured in 36 points in the second quarter to keep pace with the hot-shooting Kings in a close contest, until the fourth quarter where they Kings went on a crucial 10-0 run to start to pull away at the end. Scotty Pippen Jr had a night to forget as he scored just six points on zero of eight shooting.
Golden State v Memphis Free Prediction
The Warriors are still missing Stephen Curry, Seth Curry, Jimmy Butler III and Kristaps Porzingis, while the Grizzlies have ruled out Ja Morant, Zach Edey, Cedric Coward and Santi Aldama again with Kyle Anderson listed as questionable. You really couldn’t back either side with any confidence as both teams are missing so many star players. The Warriors still hold the edge as they’re not missing quite as many players as the Grizzlies, but the Warriors are playing this one on zero days’ rest which evens things out a bit. The Grizzlies are certainly capable of pulling off the upset but not if they play like they did against the Kings in their last outing. This should be a close one, but I prefer a play on the Warriors to bounce back with a narrow win here.
