The Denver Nuggets look to have cooled off from their four-game win streak as they are now looking to snap a two-game skid after getting beaten by the Lakers in a 115-107 home defeat on Tuesday. Jamal Murray continued his strong form with 28 points and 11 assists on 10 of 21 shooting, Aaron Gordon and Peyton Watson each scored 18 points while Spencer Jones chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Nuggets shot 45 percent from the field and 15 of 37 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates with 71 points in the first half to take a 16-point lead. However, it was a real game of two halves as the Nuggets couldn’t get anything going the rest of the game and they didn’t put up much of a fight once they squandered the lead. Tim Hardaway Jr had a night to forget as he shot just two of 12 from the field and zero of eight from the 3-point line.

Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been in a terrible slump as they’ve lost eight of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a seven-game slide after getting beaten by the Clippers in a 110-106 loss on Monday. Alex Sarr led the team with 28 points on 10 of 19 shooting, Kyshawn George added 18 points with six assists while Bub Carrington chipped in with 17 points, six rebounds and seven assists. As a team, the Wizards shot 43 percent from the field and 13 of 35 from the 3-point line as they took the fight to the Clippers and had the scores locked up going into the final minute of the game before they went scoreless in the final 57 seconds to allow the Clippers off the hook in the end.

The Nuggets have ruled out Nikola Jokic, Cameron Johnson and Christian Braun with Jonas Valanciunas listed as questionable for this one, while the Wizards have ruled out Trae Young with Khris Middleton, Marvin Bagley III and Bilal Coulibaly all listed as questionable. The Nuggets were playing some great basketball before they lost a tough one to the Lakers in their last outing, but they will like their chances against an ice-cold Wizards team who have lost seven in a row. The Nuggets will be disappointed with their last game, but the line should be higher for this matchup, so I will back the Nuggets to get the win and cover on the road at this modest line.
