Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Preview
The Cleveland Cavaliers look to have cooled off from their seven-game win streak as they have now dropped three of their last four games after falling just short to the Pistons in a 122-119 overtime loss on Friday. Jarrett Allen led the team in scoring with 25 points, nine rebounds and four assists on 10 of 12 shooting, Evan Mobley added 23 points with 12 rebounds and four blocks, Sam Merrill provided 20 points while Jaylon Tyson chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Cavaliers poured in 35 points in the first quarter to open up a 13-point lead, but they couldn’t hold off the Pistons in the fourth quarter and eventually came up short in overtime once players started getting fouled out.
Brooklyn Nets Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have been ice-cold as they’ve lost 25 of their last 30 games and they will be hoping to snap a seven-game slide after getting trampled by the red-hot Celtics in a 148-111 road defeat on Friday. Michael Porter Jr led the team with 18 points, Danny Wolf added 16 points off the bench while Nic Claxton chipped in with 12 points but no other player scored more than 10 points. As a team, the Nets shot 49 percent from the field and 14 of 34 from the 3-point line as they got off to a decent start and stayed within striking distance in the first half, but that all changed in the second half where the Nets got smashed by 83-54 to suffer one of their worst defeats of the season.
Cleveland v Brooklyn Free Prediction
The Cavaliers are still missing Max Strus, Donovan Mitchell and Dean Wade with James Harden listed as questionable, while the Nets have ruled out Egor Demin with Nic Claxton listed as questionable. The Cavaliers were always going to be heavy favorites in this one, but to be honest, I thought the line would be higher given the Nets recent injuries. With that being said, the Cavaliers are nowhere near full strength without their usual starting backcourt, but they can make a mockery of this line if they set the tone early with a quick start.
