Chicago Bulls Betting Preview
The Chicago Bulls will be gunning for a second straight victory after rallying past the Pistons in a thrilling 115-111 home win on Wednesday. Nikola Vucevic led the team in scoring with 28 points and 14 rebounds on 11 of 18 shooting, Matas Buzelis added 21 points with six rebounds and three blocks while Josh Giddey chipped in with 19 points, five rebounds and 11 assists. As a team, the Bulls shot 44 percent from the field and 11 of 30 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates and looked to be in full control when they took a 23-point lead, but they allowed the Pistons back into the contest and needed to play defense, holding the Pistons to just two points in the final 1:46 to escape with the narrow victory in front of a nervous home crowd.
Orlando Magic Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic won their season opener, but they are now hoping to avoid a second straight defeat after falling just short to the Hawks in a 111-107 home defeat last night. Franz Wagner led the team with 27 points on 10 of 17 shooting, Desmond Bane tallied 15 points with seven rebounds and five assists, Tristan da Silva scored 15 points off the bench while Paolo Banchero chipped in with 11 points on four of 15 shooting. As a team, the Magic shot just 46 percent from the field and nine of 32 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in full control after they exploded for 37 points in the second quarter to take an early 14-point lead, but they never put the Hawks away and it cost them in the fourth quarter where the Hawks turned the tide with a pivotal 15-0 run to snatch the game away from them.
Chicago v Orlando Free Prediction
The Bulls are still shorthanded with Zach Collins and Coby White both ruled out again, while the Magic have again ruled out Moritz Wagner. These teams met three times last season with the Bulls winning two of three meetings, so it’s a little surprising to see the Magic favored by six points considering that they are playing their second game of a back to back set. Sure, it’s still early in the season and the Bulls are missing White in the backcourt, but the Bulls looked great in their season opener and I think they can at least keep this one close right to the end. Perhaps the Magic get the much needed win at home, but I prefer the Bulls with the points in this spot.
