Brooklyn Nets Betting Preview
The Brooklyn Nets have been in terrible form as they’ve lost 17 of their last 20 games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting trounced by the Lakers in a 125-109 loss on Tuesday. Michael Porter Jr led the team in scoring with 21 points, 10 rebounds and three assists, Day’Ron Sharpe tallied 19 points with 14 rebounds and five assists while Ziaire Williams chipped in with 17 points. As a team, the Nets shot 48 percent from the field and 10 of 41 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start and looked completely outmatched after getting outscored by 69-40 in the first half. The Nets responded with 69 points in the second half to cut in the deficit but there was always too much ground to make up after trailing by as many as 39 points.
Orlando Magic Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have been in a real slump as they’ve lost six of their last eight games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting trampled by the Thunder in a 128-92 road defeat on Tuesday. Jalen Suggs led the team with 20 points and six assists on seven of 11 shooting, Paolo Banchero added 17 points while Noah Penda chipped in with 11 points off the bench. As a team, the Magic shot just 38 percent from the field and 13 of 41 from the 3-point line as they got off to a nightmare of a start and they were never close to being a threat after falling behind by 39-14 in the first quarter.
Brooklyn v Orlando Free Prediction
The Nets are still missing Cam Thomas, Haywood Highsmith and they are keeping an eye on the newly acquired Ochai Agbaji, while the Magic have ruled out Franz Wagner once again. You couldn’t back either side in this matchup with any confidence that you will get a return on your investment as both teams are struggling, but they have already met twice this season with the Magic winning both games by single digits. The Magic should be good enough to get a much needed win at home in this spot, but this line just seems way too high. With that being said, I will lean with the Nets to hang around long enough to get the cover in the end.
