Brooklyn Nets Betting Preview
The Brooklyn Nets have been ice-cold so far as they’ve lost 10 of their first 11 games and they will be hoping to arrest a three-game skid after getting beaten by the Raptors in a 119-109 loss on Tuesday. Nic Claxton led the team with 21 points on eight of 14 shooting, Michael Porter Jr added 21 points with six rebounds and three assists while Noah Clowney chipped in with 18 points. As a team, the Nets shot just 39 percent from the field and 14 of 41 from the 3-point line as they struggled to take advantage of their open looks and managed just 22 points in the second quarter to fall behind by 17 points which was always going to be too much to overcome on a poor shooting night with no bench player scoring more than nine points.
Orlando Magic Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic are starting to heat up now as they’ve won five of their last seven games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after routing the Knicks by 124-107 road win on Wednesday. Franz Wagner led the team with 28 points, nine rebounds and four assists on 10 of 22 shooting, Desmond Bane added 22 points with eight assists while Anthony Black provided the spark off the bench with 17 points on seven of 11 shooting. As a team, the Magic shot 48 percent from the field and 12 of 33 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Knicks from the start and were always in control after outscoring the Knicks by 62-42 in the first half.

The Nets are still shorthanded with Cam Thomas and Haywood Highsmith both out, while the Magic have ruled out Paolo Banchero and Moritz Wagner. Two teams headed in opposite directions as the Nets haven’t been able to get into second gear while the Magic are starting to heat up. The line is certainly hefty, but eight of the Nets’ 10 losses have been by double digits and I think we’re about to see another blowout in this one the way the Magic have been playing lately. The only thing that scares me a bit is the absence of Banchero, but Black and Bane picked up the slack in the last game and I think they can continue that production.
