Brooklyn Nets Betting Preview

It wasn’t the prettiest game and it took overtime, but the Nets were able to win their first Summer League game. The Nets faced off against the Indiana Pacers and it took 29 points in the 4th quarter, but they were able to win 97-95. Jalen Wilson hopes to have a role on the Nets NBA team this year and he really impressed int the first game putting up 25 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Keon Johnson also had a strong game putting up 16 points, six assists, and two steals. The Nets fell behind early in the first game and they can’t have a bad first half again. They played with fire in the first game, but it won’t work again if they fall behind here. 

Los Angeles Clippers Betting Preview

The Clippers faced off against the Denver Nuggets in their first game of the Summer League and they sure looked good. The offense scored 88 points and that was enough for the ten point victory. It was a close game until they pulled away in the 4th quarter. Jordan Miller played eight games last year for the Clippers and he tried to prove in the first game whye he deserves more. Miller finished with 36 points including 6 of his 10 shots from deep. Outside of Miller there were only two other players that scored at least 11 points. RayJ Dennis only finished with five points but he was a +25.

The Nets needed a big comeback in the first game but in this game, I expect they are going to get out to a fast start here. Outside of Miller, the rest of the Clippers team didn’t actually play that well, and that is going to be a problem again here. The Miller won’t have as good of game, and the Clippers offense isn’t going to be as good here. The Nets will get the job done. Back the Nets against the spread.
