Atlanta Hawks Betting Preview
The Atlanta Hawks look to be moving on from their ugly seven-game losing streak as they are now aiming for a third straight victory after blowing past the Knicks in a surprising 111-99 road win last night. Onyeka Okongwu led the team with 23 points on nine of 16 shooting, Nickeil Alexander-Walker added 23 points on nine of 20 shooting while Jalen Johnson racked up a triple-double of 18 points with 10 rebounds and 11 assists. As a team, the Hawks shot 48 percent from the field and 12 of 36 from the 3-point line as set the tone with their defense by limiting the Knicks to just 17 points in the second quarter, before the Hawks exploded for 34 points in the third quarter to lead by as many as 26 points.
Toronto Raptors Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors have been in decent form as they’ve won five of their last nine games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back here after falling just short to the Nuggets in a 106-103 loss on Wednesday. Brandon Ingram led the team with 30 points on 11 of 21 shooting, Immanuel Quickley added 22 points while Scottie Barnes racked up a triple-double of 20 points with 14 rebounds and 10 assists. As a team, the Raptors shot 37 percent from the field and 12 of 45 from the 3-point line which aren’t impressive shooting figures, but they played great defense to work their way back from a 13-point deficit to tie the scores late in the fourth quarter, only to go cold when it mattered most, scoring just five points in the final 4:39 to allow the shorthanded Nuggets off the hook in the end.
Atlanta v Toronto Free Prediction
The Hawks are still missing Trae Young who is rumored to be on the trading block, while the Raptors are still playing without the injured Jakob Poeltl. The Hawks have really sprung to life with two impressive wins following a difficult stretch and you can’t help but feel it has something to do with Young who could be on his way out. The Raptors have been flying under the radar lately but they will be kicking themselves after missing a great chance to take down a depleted Nuggets team in their last outing. The Hawks are playing their second game of a back to back set which isn’t ideal but I think they can surprise the Raptors and come away with another upset win on the road.
