The Golden State Warriors have been in poor form lately as they've lost nine of their last 13 games overall. The Warriors will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting scorched by the Heat in a 114-98 loss on Tuesday. Stephen Curry drained eight 3-pointers to lead the way with 31 points on 11 of 22 shooting, Trayce Jackson-Davis added 19 points on nine of 12 shooting while Buddy Hield chipped in with 11 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. As a team, the Warriors shot just 40 percent from the field and 14 of 50 from the 3-point line, but they struggled to contain the Heat from the start and were always playing from behind after getting outscored by 61-48 going into halftime. Kyle Anderson struggled as he shot just two of seven from the field to finish with five points off the bench while Dennis Schroder shot just two of 10 for his five points.

Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons have been in red-hot form as they've reeled off eight wins from their last nine games. The Pistons will be eager to build on their current five-game win streak after smashing the Nets by a 113-98 road win last night. Malik Beasley led the team with 23 points and five assists, Marcus Sasser added 15 points off the bench while Cade Cunningham chipped in with 13 points and five assists. As a team, the Pistons shot 52 percent from the field and 15 of 37 from the 3-point line. This win was more about their defense as they kept the Nets in check from the start to take a 10-point lead into halftime. The Pistons restricted the Nets to just 21 points in the third quarter to lead by as many as 26 points. The Pistons will take on the Raptors after this game.

The Warriors are still shorthanded with Jonathan Kuminga out and they are keeping eyes on Dennis Schroder, Draymond Green, and Stephen Curry who are all questionable, while the Pistons are still missing Ausar Thompson and Jaden Ivey. The Warriors could really do with a win to get their season back on track, but they've been terrible lately and could be severely depleted with so many key players on the injury report. In contrast, the Pistons are coming into this one playing some of their best basketball of the season, and I am not surprised at all that they have opened as favorites at home. Sure, the Pistons are playing their second game of a back-to-back set, but the Warriors are just ice-cold at the moment and I think the Pistons can take advantage.
