The St. Louis Cardinals and the Colorado Rockies will meet on Sunday afternoon in the final game of a three game National League series at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado.

St. Louis Cardinals Betting Preview

The St. Louis Cardinals enter Sunday’s contest with a 71–72 overall record (3rd in the National League Central) and a robust 37–34 mark on the road. The Cardinals offense has been competitive this season. St. Louis has compiled 647 runs scored (10th in MLB), 204 doubles, 153 home runs and a .243 team batting average which ranks 15th in Major League Baseball.

The Cardinals arrive at tomorrow afternoon’s game in below average form. St. Louis has lost two of the team’s last three games, including a 3–2 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers three days ago.

The St. Louis Cardinals will turn to right hander Kyle Leahy in this game. In 26 starts made this season, Leahy has compiled a 10–4 win-loss record, a 3.13 ERA, a 1.31 WHIP and 118 strikeouts in 129.1 innings pitched. Leahy arrives at this contest in elite form, allowing one earned run or fewer in four of his last five starts made in 2026. Leahy will look to continue his recent strong pitching performances in this afternoon’s matchup with the Colorado Rockies.

Shifting our focus to the St. Louis offense, the Cardinals lineup features Alec Burleson and Jordan Walker. Alec Burleson has amassed a .280 batting average, 21 home runs, 102 RBIs (2nd in MLB) and an .805 OPS. Jordan Walker has compiled a .286 batting average, 28 home runs (18th in MLB), 100 RBIs and an .840 OPS.

Colorado Rockies Betting Preview

The Colorado Rockies enter Sunday afternoon’s matchup with a 55–87 overall record (5th in the National League West) and a 30–40 mark at home. Colorado has played competitive baseball recently, winning three of the team’s last four games, including a thrilling 6–5 victory over the Baltimore Orioles earlier this week.

The Rockies will start right hander Tanner Gordon in today’s game. In eight starts made in 2026, Gordon has compiled a 1–4 record, a 5.18 ERA, a 1.40 WHIP and 72 strikeouts in 88.2 innings pitched. Gordon arrives at this contest in good form, allowing one earned run or fewer in three of his last four starts made this season.

The Colorado Rockies lineup features first baseman TJ Rumfield and catcher Hunter Goodman. TJ Rumfield enters this contest with a .295 batting average (9th in MLB), 13 home runs, 45 walks, 66 RBIs and an .842 OPS. Hunter Goodman has amassed a team leading 36 home runs (6th in MLB), 76 RBIs and an .845 OPS.

Why the Colorado Rockies will win.

• Home field edge. The Colorado Rockies have played competitive baseball at Coors Field this season.

• Offensive balance. Hunter Goodman and TJ Rumfield provide a strong core to the Rockies lineup.

• Starting pitching. Tanner Gordon has compiled a 1–4 record, a 5.18 ERA, a 1.40 WHIP and 72 strikeouts in 88.2 innings pitched.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Colorado Rockies Prediction

In my opinion, this matchup favors the St. Louis Cardinals. Why? St. Louis hurler Kyle Leahy arrives at this contest in elite form, allowing one earned run or fewer in four of his last five starts made in 2026, while Colorado hurler Tanner Gordon has been far more inconsistent on the mound, especially at Coors Field. With that said, I am backing the St. Louis Cardinals on the moneyline in this game.
