Tarik Sukbal Under 1.5 Earned Runs

Detroit Tigers vs Miami Marlins 7:10 PM EST

It’s fair to say that Tarik Skubal is one of the best pitchers on planet earth right now. Across 28 starts, he comes into this one with a 13-4 record, an imposing 2.10 ERA, and a dazzling 0.86 WHIP over 180.0 innings, while accruing 222 strikeouts. Skubal’s performance has been remarkably consistent. Over his past 7 starts, he has gone 3-1 with a 2.14 ERA, and over 15 starts, he is 7-2 with a 2.05 ERA. Even though the Marlins have shown flashes of great play this season, we have seen them struggle over the last month, and specifically, we’ve seen them struggle at the plate. This should be a great spot for Skubal to continue his dominance.

Luis Castillo Over 4.5 K’s

Los Angeles Angels vs Seattle Mariners 10:10 PM EST

Luis Castillo has had an up-and-down 2025 season with the Seattle Mariners. Through 29 starts, the right-hander owns a 9-8 record with a 3.85 ERA across 161.1 innings pitched, striking out 144 batters while posting a 1.27 WHIP. His advanced metrics show that opposing hitters have made solid contact against him, with an average exit velocity near 91 mph, a 48% hard-hit rate, and a 10.8% barrel rate. His ERA has skyrocketed over the last month, but he’s coming off a strong start in Atlanta, and I expect him to carry that momentum into this one. He’s been so solid in T-Mobile Park in his career and has recorded 5+ K’s in 4 of his last 5 starts.

Yusei Kikuchi Under 2.5 Earned Runs

Los Angeles Angels vs Seattle Mariners 10:10 PM EST

Yusei Kikuchi’s season has been a mix of strong stretches and tough inconsistencies. Over the course of 30 starts, he logged 161.2 innings, with a 6–11 record, a 4.18 ERA, 163 strikeouts, and a 1.48 WHIP. He has been terrible as of late, allowing 4 or more earned runs in 4 of his last 5 starts. In his last start, he allowed 7 earned runs against the Athletics. This is a spot I want to buy low on Kikuchi. He’ll be pitching in T-Mobile Park, which is arguably the most pitcher-friendly ballpark in the league. Also, this Mariners lineup has been streaky as of late, and this series has been low scoring. Let’s buy low on Kikuchi to have a nice bounce-back game.
