Tomoyuki Sugano Under 2.5 Earned Runs
Baltimore Orioles vs Texas Rangers 8:05 PM EST

Tomoyuki Sugano debuted in the big leagues on March 30th and has since made 15 starts, accumulating an overall 5–4 record with a 3.55 ERA and 1.21 WHIP over 83⅔ innings, during which he struck out 50 batters and issued 17 walks. Sugano has excelled in limiting contact; opponents are batting just .258 against him, and he’s induced groundballs at a near-even rate. Sugano is coming off his worst start of the season giving up 7 earned runs but other than that, we haven’t seen Sugano get blown up this season. I expect him to bounce back in this one, going against a Rangers lineup that has struggled greatly at the plate this season.

Logan Gilbert Over 6.5 K’s
Seattle Mariners vs Kansas City Royals 9:40 PM EST

Logan Gilbert has once again established himself as a frontline starter for the Seattle Mariners in the early stages of the 2025 season. In eight starts covering 40⅓ innings, he’s recorded a 2–2 record with a commendable 3.12 ERA and excellent 0.89 WHIP, alongside 60 strikeouts and only seven walks, an elite 8.6 K/9 strikeout rate. Gilbert’s command has been brilliant. Opponents are batting a mere .193 overall, with just .151 against right-handers and .247 vs. lefties. Gilbert has proved he’s still one of the best strikeout pitchers in the MLB, and I expect him to have a huge night on the mound against the struggling Royals.

Yusei Kikuchi Over 6.5 K’s
Los Angeles Angels vs Atlanta Braves 7:15 PM EST

Yusei Kikuchi has delivered a strong season to date, pitching in 17 games and compiling a 3–6 record with a 2.79 ERA and 1.37 WHIP across 96.2 innings. He’s struck out 99 batters, good for a solid 9.22 K/9, while issuing 44 walks. Kikuchi has demonstrated durability, ranking 13th in the AL in innings pitched, while maintaining one of the lowest ERAs among qualified starters. He’s coming off one of his best performances this season when it comes to a strikeout perspective and has another solid matchup in this one. Kikuchi is a left-handed pitcher, which is what the Braves have struggled with this season.
