The Padres finished with 11 hits, and they scored four runs while the A’s scored ten runs on 13 hits. Dylan Cease went four innings, giving up nine hits and nine runs. He had four strikeouts and three walks. In the first game of this series, the Padres were able to secure the 5-4 victory. 

The Padres are averaging 4.64 runs, while their pitching is giving up 2.9 runs per game. For this team to have success, the pitching will need to be strong. Randy Vasquez will start for the Padres, and he has a record of 0-1 and an ERA of 1.69. In his last start, he went 4.2 innings, giving up two hits and three runs against the Chicago Cubs.

The A’s won on Tuesday, and they are going to continue with that success here, at least with the pitching. Bido is going to get the start here for Oakland he sits with an ERA of 2.70. Vasqez sits with an ERA of 1.69, and even though he wasn’t as dominant in his last start, he’s going to really step up in a major way again here.
