Boston Red Sox vs Detroit Tigers Prediction
I’m leaning toward the Tigers. Skubal does need a bit of a bounce-back start, though. In the White Sox game, he gave up three earned on eight hits in 5.0 innings but still got the win. In the two starts prior Skubal went 1-0 with just two earned in 12.0 frames. As for Pivetta, he’s coming off five earned in 5.0 innings versus the Astros.
On Saturday the Tigers mounted a nice comeback from a 4-0 deficit, bagging three runs in the eighth inning alone. The hole was too deep to dig out of though, and the pen faltered down the stretch. Still, I think Detroit has a good shot to bounce back Saturday.
