Detroit comes into this matchup as one of the hottest teams in the MLB over the last few weeks and they are trying to get back into the Wild Card race. Los Angeles has been terrible over the last two weeks and they are going with Canning, who has been way too inconsistent on the season. Detroit is going with an opener, then is expected to go with Maeda as the bulk reliever.
