The Philadelphia Phillies and the Atlanta Braves square off Thursday in MLB action from Truist Park. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Philadelphia Phillies vs Atlanta Braves Prediction.
Starting Pitching Matchup
The Philadelphia Phillies will send out Cristopher Sanchez here and Sanchez is 9-8 with a 3.46 ERA and 108 strikeouts this season. In his career, Sanchez is 0-2 with a 5.56 ERA and 12 strikeouts against Atlanta. Philadelphia Phillies Recap
The Philadelphia Phillies come into this one looking to win the rubber match of the series after picking up a 3-2 win in Wednesday’s matchup. A series win here would give the Phillies back-to-back series wins after taking out the Washington Nationals last weekend.

Alec Bohm leads the Phillies with 142 hits including 43 doubles, a .295 batting average and a team-high 85 RBIs while Bryce Harper has 26 home runs with 73 RBIs and Bryson Stott has a team-high 25 stolen bases. Braves Trying To Keep Phillies Within Reach
Marcell Ozuna leads the Braves with 146 hits including 37 home runs and 94 RBIs while Orlando Arcia has 19 doubles and Ozzie Albies has a team-high 28 doubles, logging 93 hits as well this season. Ronald Acuna Jr. has a team-high 16 stolen bases as well this season but is out for the season with a torn ACL. Philadelphia Phillies vs Atlanta Braves Prediction
I’m on the Braves here. The Phillies managed to get the win because they did enough damage off of a lefty in Wednesday’s matchup, but I don’t love the Phillies’ current form against right-handed pitching. I think the Braves can get a solid outing from Schwellenbach here, and I think they can also get to Sanchez for a few runs here, enough to pick up the win in Thursday’s rubber match. Give me Philadelphia in this one.
