In the starter role for the Blue Jays on Friday it’ll be Kevin Gausman. This year Gausman is 9-8 with a 4.44 ERA in 21 starts. Gausman is 97-99 with a 3.88 ERA in 319 career games (280 starts).

On Friday the Yankees will send out Marcus Stroman as the starter. This year Stroman is 7-5 with a 3.64 ERA in 21 starts. Over 252 career games (244 starts) Stroman is 84-81 with a 3.65 ERA.

Toronto Blue Jays vs New York Yankees Prediction
I’ll probably lean toward the Blue Jays here. It’ll depend on how the starters do, though. Gausman has posted a 3-0 record with nine earned in 22.2 total innings over his last three starts. That number includes a complete game versus the Rangers on July 27.
As for Stroman, he’s had his ups and downs over the last three. In that time Stroman is 0-1 with six earned runs in 13.0 total innings on 21 hits and three walks. If he can get some help from the bats I can see Stroman holding things together. I could also see Toronto taking this one pretty easily.
