San Francisco Giants Recap

The San Francisco Giants come into this one looking to start the second half strong after winning their series with the Minnesota Twins to go into the break after a 3-2 triumph in Sunday’s rubber match. The series win was much needed after back-to-back series losses to the Blue Jays and the Guardians prior to the three-game set with the Twins.

Thairo Estrada has 70 hits along with a team-high 9 home runs and 41 RBIs while also chipping in 14 doubles. Michael Conforto has 59 hits with 10 home runs, 16 doubles and 39 RBIs while Matt Chapman has 84 hits of his own alongside 24 doubles with 13 homers, 3 RBIs and 9 stolen bases. Chapman also has the dubious distinction of leading the Giants with 96 strikeouts this season.

Why the San Francisco Giants will win

Colorado Rockies Recap

The Colorado Rockies come into the second half hoping to make some noise after disappointing series against the Mets and Reds over the last week before the all-star break, but the Rockies ended things on a high note, salvaging an 8-5 win over the Mets in Sunday’s series finale.

Rockies Trying To Hold Betting Value In Second Half

Ezequiel Tovar leads the Rockies with 108 hits including a team-high 28 doubles with 119 strikeouts as well this season while Ryan McMahon leads the Rockies with 14 home runs and 45 RBIs along with 21 doubles and 115 strikeouts as well. Brenton Doyle’s added 16 doubles and a team-high 20 stolen bases as well and Elias Diaz has a team-best .286 batting average this season.

San Francisco Giants vs Colorado Rockies Prediction

I’m on the Rockies here. I just can’t get there to lay this price with the Giants with Harrison pitching as he’s been a lot more effective at home but has struggled on the road and when you add in the hitter-friendly nature of Coors Field, I don’t think it’s a recipe for him to succeed. It would be nice to know who the Rockies are sending out here, but I still think there’s enough here for the Rockies to steal the series-opening win so give me Colorado.

Chris Ruffolo's Pick: Colorado +156
