The Seattle Mariners and the Los Angeles Angels meet Saturday in MLB action from Angel Stadium. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Seattle Mariners vs LA Angels Prediction.
Starting Pitching Matchup
The Seattle Mariners will send out George Kirby for the start here and Kirby is 7-6 with a 3.39 ERA and 109 strikeouts this season. In his last five starts against the Angels, Kirby is 3-2 with a 3.41 ERA and 33 strikeouts. Jose Soriano will start for the Angels here and Soriano is 4-7 with a 3.87 ERA and 67 strikeouts this season. This will be Soriano’s second career start against the Mariners.
Seattle Mariners Recap
The Seattle Mariners come into this one looking to bounce back after a 6-5 loss in walk-off fashion against the Angels in extra innings on Friday. The loss evened the series up at one win apiece and still gives the Mariners a chance to build on their series sweep of the Padres earlier this week.
Mariners Trying To Pick Up Steam
Julio Rodriguez leads the Mariners with 97 hits including a .264 batting average and also has 9 doubles. Cal Raleigh has a team-high 20 home runs along with 61 RBIs and 111 strikeouts. Mitch Haniger also has 8 home runs and 34 RBIs while Rodriguez has a team-high 18 stolen bases and 107 strikeouts as well this season. Dylan Moore has a team-high 14 doubles and Mitch Garver has 13 doubles also this season.
Why the Seattle Mariners will win

Los Angeles Angels Recap
The Los Angeles Angels will try to keep the momentum going after their dramatic victory in Friday’s matchup. The win gave the Angels a lifeline to get back into the series and snap their series losing streak which includes L’s against the Rangers, Cubs and A’s in the month of July so far.
Angels Trying To Find Positives In Down Year
Taylor Ward has 77 hits along with 16 doubles, 14 home runs and a team-high 44 RBIs. Mike Trout also has 10 home runs along with a pair of triples and 6 stolen bases, but remains out indefinitely with injury while Zach Neto has 21 doubles, 78 strikeouts and 14 stolen bases. Luis Rengifo also has a team-high 79 hits and 22 stolen bases while Jo Adell has 14 home runs, 39 RBIs and 10 stolen bases as well. Seattle Mariners vs LA Angels Prediction
I’m on the Mariners here. Realistically, stringing together consistent offense is not something the Angels have been able to do in recent weeks. The Mariners are not consistent in their own right, but they’ve had the Angels’ number for some time now and George Kirby has pitched really well in a lot of his recent starts. I think the Mariners back him up here against Soriano, who has really had issues at home this season. Give me the Mariners.
