Wisconsin Badgers Betting Preview
The Badgers kicked off their season on a nice 7-2 run with wins over Campbell, Northern Illinois, Ball State, SIU Edwardsville, Providence, Northwestern and Marquette. After losses to Nebraska and Villanova, Wisconsin hit a 3-1 run with wins over Central Michigan, Milwaukee and UCLA alongside a lone loss to Purdue. That gives the Badgers a 10-5 overall record in their first 15 games this year.
In the UCLA game on Tuesday, the Badgers entered the second half with a 45-31 edge. Wisconsin was outscored 41-35 the rest of the way but held on for the win 80-72 in the end. Tops in scoring was Nicholas Boyd with 20 points, eight boards and five assists. Nolan Winter added 18 points with eight rebounds and John Blackwell chipped in with 17 points and four rebounds in the win.
Michigan Wolverines Betting Preview
Over on the Michigan side, they’ve been on an unbeaten tear so far this year. In their first 14 outings of the season, the Wolverines have dispatched Oakland, Wake Forest, TCU, Middle Tennessee, San Diego State, Auburn, Gonzaga, Rutgers, Villanova, Maryland, La Salle, McNeese, USC and Penn State in succession. That gives Michigan a nice 14-0 run thus far.
In the Tuesday matchup versus Penn State, the Wolverines were up 40-31 by halftime. Michigan hit a 41-34 deficit in the second half but ended up winning a tense battle on the road 74-72. LJ Cason had 14 points with three rebounds in 17 minutes to lead the way and both Nimarni Burnett and Trey McKenney added 12 points and two rebounds apiece for the Wolverines.

Wisconsin vs Michigan Prediction
I’ll stay with Michigan. The Wolverines had a close escape against a decent Penn State team at Bryce Jordan Center in their latest outing though, despite giving up just 34.8 percent shooting to the Nittany Lions. Michigan shot 45.6 percent themselves with a 38-33 rebounding deficit and 12 turnovers. Still, the two-point road win keeps the unbeaten season alive. It was Michigan’s second-lowest points total of the season (74) however, next to the 67 they managed against TCU back on November 14.
As for Wisconsin, they dispatched a good UCLA team this week in a home victory. The Badgers shot 45.5 percent from the fielding that one with just seven turnovers, but did get beaten on the boards 33-30 and in the paint 36-26. Wisconsin is 3-1 in their last four games but this will likely be their most difficult matchup of the season so far.
