In the Indiana matchup, Sam Houston gave up 61.8 percent shooting and got out-rebounded 37-25. That said, it was also the second-best scoring performance (71) in a loss so far this year—and against a very good Hoosiers team. The Bearkats posted just 123 combined points in losses to App State and UNC Wilmington last month, so another big total here would be a positive sign.

As for Texas Southern, they shot an ugly 33.3 percent from the field and 5-of-22 (22.7 percent) from outside with 14 turnovers in their latest loss. The Tigers have given up 72 or more points in six straight games, so Sam Houston should be able to find plenty of open looks on Saturday.
