I’ll lean toward Texas Southern but I’m staying away. The Tigers notched a solid home win against an okay Grambling team in their last outing, shooting 56.3 percent from the field with 47.6 percent (10-of-21) on 3-pointers. Texas Southern was competitive on the boards and in the paint but did have 13 turnovers. The Tigers are 4-2 in their last six games but they’ve failed to reach 70 points in two of the last three.

These teams last met up back on January 3 in an 84-73 road loss for the Tigers. In that game Texas Southern shot a tepid 41.5 percent from the field and just 21.1 percent (4-of-19) from outside while giving up 50.9 percent shooting on the other side. The Tigers were competitive on the boards but got into major mistake issues with 17 turnovers—not to mention the 38-30 deficit on points in the paint. The Tigers will need to clean a lot of things up in this home rematch but I think they’re up for it.
