I’ll try Southern Utah but I’m probably staying away in reality. The Thunderbirds couldn’t keep pace with a middling Northern Arizona team in their last outing, shooting 41.5 percent from the field with 15 turnovers and just nine team assists. The good news is that Southern Utah has hit a nice 69 or more points in four of the last five games. The bad news is that Southern Utah is just 2-3 in those five games, and they’ve lost three in a row.

As for Utah Tech, they couldn’t hang with Creighton in their last game. The Traiblazers managed 50 percent shooting with a 29-25 rebounding deficit and 15 turnovers during the loss, giving up 54 percent shooting to the Bluejays on the other side. Utah Tech has 69 or more points in five straight games, going 3-2 in that stretch. Southern Utah is really going to have to push on offense but I think a cover is conceivable if all goes well.
