Southeast Missouri State vs South Carolina Prediction

I might take a stab on the Redhawks here. Southeast Missouri State has taken care of business in two games so far this year, bagging a pair of wins. The Redhawks played Lipscomb in their opener, shooting 48 percent from the field and an impressive 55 percent (11-of-20) from outside along with a 38-33 rebounding advantage. It was a pretty back-and-forth game most of the way, though. The Redhawks’ second matchup went better with a 25-point victory versus an overmatched Webster squad. Southeast Missouri State shot 50 percent from the field in that one but only a tepid 29 percent (6-of-21) from 3-point range and 53 percent (16-of-30) from the line. The Redhawks need to get the ball control down better for this one (15 turnovers).

As for South Carolina, they didn’t have any issues in their opener matchup versus Stetson. The Gamecocks shot 51 percent from the field with just five turnovers and a 35-21 advantage on the boards. Southeast Missouri State is probably a manageable opponent as well (especially at home) but I think the Redhawks can show up well enough for a cover here.

Over on the South Carolina side, they managed to go a pretty rough 13-19 overall last season with a 4-14 mark in Southeastern Conference games.
