Radford vs Cal Prediction
I’ll probably just stick with California. The Golden Bears had a cupcake matchup in their opener versus Adams State, and ended up shooting 61 percent from the field with 48 percent from 3-point range. Cal’s rebounding was solid (40-34) but they did miss some free throws (24-of-35 for 69 percent). This should be another manageable game for the Bears, and they likely won’t have too many issues settling back in at home for another win.
As for Radford, they didn’t look great in their opener matchup versus San Francisco. The Highlanders shot 44 percent from the field and 33 percent from 3-point range, but they also missed a few free throws (69 percent at 11-of-16) and coughed up 19 turnovers. The 39-32 rebounding deficit didn’t help either. Radford is going to have an even tougher time in this one and I don’t think they’ll get close.

Radford Highlanders Betting Preview
Last year Radford had something of a middling campaign but they didn’t perform terribly in the conference games. The Highlanders landed at 16-16 overall with a 9-7 run in the Big South. That finish would put them behind only High Point and Winthrop in the conference standings. Radford closed out the regular season on a 3-2 run but their Big South Tournament life didn’t last long. The Highlanders lost to Presbyterian in overtime during the first game.
The Highlanders have one game under their belt so far this year. Radford took on San Francisco in a road matchup Monday. In that game the Highlanders took a 76-62 loss at the Sobrato Center in front of just under 1,000 fans. Topping the team during the loss was Frederik Erichsen with 12 points, seven rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes. Mathieu Grujicic was right behind him with 11 points, three rebounds and six turnovers. Topping the bench players was Warren Keel with nine points and three assists in 23 minutes.
California Golden Bears Betting Preview
Over on the Cal side, they fared pretty well overall in the 2025-26 campaign, going 22-12 in the record column. The Golden Bears were only average in ACC play though, going 9-9 for a finish around the middle of the standings. California closed out their regular season with a 4-2 run, then lost in the first game of the ACC Tournament to Florida State. After a win over UIC in the NIT, California fell to Saint Joseph’s 76-75 on March 22.
Matched up against Adams State on Monday, the Golden Bears left the court at Haas Pavilion with a 115-86 victory in their hands. California’s leading scorer in that one was Michael Cooper, who came off the bench to fire off 24 points, two rebounds and two assists with 6-of-8 from 3-point range in 22 minutes of work. Sammie Yeanay added 21 points with six boards and five steals while Nojus Indrusaitis had 20 points with three assists for the Bears.
