Presbyterian Blue Hose Betting Preview
The Hose started out the year on a nice run but they’ve fallen back to the .500 mark since then. Presbyterian beat Georgia State, East Tennessee State and Bluefield U (with a loss to Navy) in their first four outings, then took a losing streak versus South Carolina, Sac State, Cal and UCLA from there. In the last two games the Blue Hose have beaten Columbia International and the Citadel, giving the team a 5-5 record overall this year.
In the matchup with the Citadel on Sunday, the Blue Hose came out of the locker room with a 33-17 edge. Presbyterian finished off the game with a 36-24 run and took the victory 69-41 in the end. Carl Parrish led the way on 21 points with four rebounds and Josh Pickett added 15 points with six boards. Jonah Pierce had 13 points with two rebounds in 22 minutes as well.
Wofford Terriers Betting Preview
Over on the Terriers’ side, they opened the season on a 1-2 run with a lone win over Milwaukee sandwiched in between losses to George Mason and Auburn. Since then however, Wofford has been on a 4-1 run in the last five outings. The lone loss in that time was to Northern Kentucky; otherwise it was wins over Bellarmine, North Florida, Erskine and Eastern Kentucky. That gives Wofford a 5-3 record across their first eight games this season.
Matched up against Eastern Kentucky last weekend, the Terriers were up 37-28 at the break. Wofford was outscored by three the rest of the way but held on for the win 83-77. Kahmare Holmes led the team on 30 points with eight boards and three rebounds. Cayden Vasko added 13 points with five rebounds, and Nils Machowski had 11 points with four assists and five rebounds in 35 minutes of work during the victory effort.

Presbyterian vs Wofford Prediction
I’ll stick with Wofford. The Terriers took care of a struggling Eastern Kentucky team in their last outing, thanks mostly to the Colonels’ 37.5 percent shooting. Wofford didn’t shoot great themselves (40.3 percent) but did some solid work at the line (24-of-32 for 75 percent) and stayed competitive up front. The five turnovers didn’t hurt either. Wofford has 81 or more points in five straight games, notching a nice 4-1 run across that time.
As for Presbyterian, they shot 54 percent from the field and 45.5 percent (10-of-22) from outside in their win over a struggling Citadel squad. The Hose had a 33-19 advantage on the boards and posted just seven turnovers along the way. Presbyterian has scored fewer than 70 points in eight of their 10 games so far this year however, so they may have a tough time keeping pace in this one.
