Northwestern State Demons Betting Preview
The Demons only managed to win three of their first 10 games this year, taking out Ecclesia, SE Louisiana and Southern-New Orleans in that time. Northwestern State hit a 3-5 stretch over the next eight games, featuring losses to Lamar, Stephen F. Austin, Nicholls, Incarnate Word and Houston Christian. Over their first 19 games of the year that would give the Demons a 6-13 record in the books.
Northwestern State originally had a matchup scheduled versus East Texas A&M on Saturday. That game was postponed however, due to the ugly weather forecast. A makeup date was not immediately set, so we’ll have to stay tuned to see how that one plays out. Tickets from Saturday’s matchup will be honored for whenever the makeup date is rescheduled.

Through the first 19 outings that gave the Lumberjacks a 16-3 overall run.

Northwestern State vs Stephen F. Austin Prediction
I’ll stick with the Lumberjacks I suppose. Stephen F. Austin was able to bag a road win over a decent Lamar team this past weekend, hitting a nice 52.6 percent from the field along the way. The Lumberjacks did get out-rebounded 28-23 and had a 30-18 deficit on points in the paint, but otherwise they looked pretty good statistically. SFA is chugging along on a good clip these days with five straight wins. They’e scored 79 or more points in four of those games.
These teams saw each other once already this year, in a 74-64 road win for SFA back on New Year’s Eve. The Lumberjacks shot 46.6 percent from the field in that one with a 38-25 rebounding edge and 38 points in the paint alongside just nine turnovers. Stephen F. Austin should be pretty comfortable in the home rematch and I don’t think they’ll have too many difficulties.
