Northeastern vs Boston Prediction
I might take a stab on Northeastern but I’m probably just staying away. The Huskies didn’t have much success last year, thanks at least in part to the team having to use 14 different starting lineups and 13 different starters due to injury. Senior Mike Loughnane (10.2 PPG) headlines a squad that should take a big step forward this year if they can keep the chemistry going and stay healthy.
As for Boston, they lost 60.4 percent of their scoring from last season by just three players transferring out. That’s a lot of production to fill in, and it won’t be easy. Still, they’ll get to see what players like Donte Tisinger (6.4 PPG) and Azmar Abdullah (8.4 PPG) can do with extra minutes. The Terriers lost a lot of talent last year but they’ve still got plenty on the roster.

Northeastern Huskies Betting Preview
The 2025-26 campaign was a forgettable one for the Huskies. Northeastern managed to go just 7-24 overall with a limp 2-16 run in the Coastal Athletic Association. After finishing the regular season on a 12-game losing streak, the Huskies beat North Carolina A&T in the CAA Tournament before falling to Drexel 84-77 in the second round.
As we turn the page to the 2026-27 campaign, the Huskies will have two starters back for head coach Bill Coen’s 21st year at the helm. He’ll be looking to bounce back from last year’s injury-marred campaign. Starting point guard LA Pratt only got three games in before breaking his foot, and Miles Newton played nine ahead of a torn Achilles. Xander Alarie’s season came to an early end due to a shoulder injury.
Boston University Terriers Betting Preview
Over on the Boston side, they managed to power out a .500 record last season, going 17-17 overall. The Terriers made it to 10-8 in Patriot League play, which put the team behind only Navy, Lehigh and Colgate among the conference standings. Boston had a good run in the conference tourney, beating American and Navy ahead of a championship game loss to Lehigh.
This year the Terriers get Joe Jones back for his 16th year as head coach. He’s put up a 251-224 record during that time. Jones will have two starters back in the fold, which is more than a lot of teams can say as they kick off the season. Unfortunately the Terriers lose their top players in Michael McNair (16.9 PPG) and Ben Defty (15.1 PPG), and have to replace that scoring.
