North Dakota State Bison Betting Preview
North Dakota State kicked off their season with a 5-3 run. The losses in that time were versus Oregon State, UC Davis and Arkansas State. The Bison went 7-2 in the next nine games with wins over Montana, Northern Arizona, Cal State Bakersfield, Drake, Minnesota Crookston, South Dakota and Oral Roberts. Over the first 17 games that would give the Bison a 12-5 overall run.
On Thursday versus Kansas City, the Bison took a commanding first-half lead 54-34. North Dakota State kept it up in the second half on a 43-39 run and took the eventual win 97-73 on the road. Treyson Anderson was the top team scorer on 23 points with eight boards and Trevian Carson added 17 points with four rebounds. Damari Wheeler-Thomas chipped in 16 points as well.
Omaha Mavericks Betting Preview
Over on the Mavericks’ side, they limped to a 3-7 start following losses to Murray State, Abilene Christian, Colorado State, LSU, James Madison, FIU and Northern Colorado. Omaha would then beat Portland State, Doane, York College Nebraska and Lamar before losses to Oregon, South Dakota State and Kansas City gave them a 7-10 record in 17 games at the start of the year.
In the North Dakota matchup on Thursday the Mavericks came out of the break with a 47-38 edge. Omaha hit a 43-41 stretch in the second on the way to a 90-79 win in the end. Topping the team’s scorers was Tony Osburn with 27 points. Paul Djobet doubled up on 18 points with 12 rebounds and two assists and Ja’Sean Glover had 10 points with six rebounds and five assists in the win.

North Dakota State vs Omaha Prediction
I’ll stay with North Dakota State. The Bison demolished a struggling Kansas City team in their last outing, hitting 53 percent from the field with 44.8 percent (13-of-29) from outside and a 33-28 rebounding edge. North Dakota State has now won three straight, scoring 79 or more points in each outing (buoyed in part by a double-overtime win over Oral Roberts, that is).
As for Omaha, they didn’t have a ton of issues with North Dakota this week. The Mavs hit 60 percent from the field with 47.1 percent from outside and 28-of-35 (80 percent) from the line. Omaha also had a 36-28 edge on points in the paint but did cough up 12 turnovers along the way. The Mavericks had lost three straight with fewer than 70 points in each prior to that win, so it was a much-needed performance.
