North Alabama Lions Betting Preview
In their opener this year, North Alabama hung around with Mississippi State for a while but eventually lost 86-62. Canin Jefferson led the way on 16 points in the defeat. In game two North Alabama got their first win, taking it 90-84 against Lane. In their third outing against Northwestern State, the Lions posted another victory, this time 87-83 after a 10-6 run in overtime. Corneilous Williams (28 points; 16 rebounds) and Donte Bacchus (16 points; 14 rebounds) each posted double-doubles there. In their fourth game versus East Tennessee State, the Lions had a 46-31 first-half advantage. North Alabama was drilled from there 47-28 however, and fell 78-74 in a tough result. Tops in scoring were Donte Bacchus (six rebounds) and Dallas Howell (four rebounds; four assists), each with 19 points.
On Monday versus Clemson, the Lions were facing a 45-22 deficit at the break. North Alabama got better from there (in garbage time mostly) on the way to an 81-61 loss. Kevin de Kovachich was the top score on 12 points with two boards and two assists. Donte Bacchus added 10 points in 30 minutes during the loss as well.
Chattanooga Mocs Betting Preview
Over on the Mocs’ side, they were able to get a blowout victory over Union Kentucky 92-39 in their opener this year. Chattanooga wouldn’t see the win column for a while after that though, as the next three games were all losses. That streak began with an 87-66 result versus Saint Mary’s on November 7, then a 101-69 road loss to UNLV in game three. As for game four, Chattanooga was down 41-25 at the break versus Florida Gulf Coast on November 15. After giving up 50 more points from there the Mocs had another loss 91-73. Leading the team in scoring was Jordan Frison with 15 points and two assists. Teddy Washington added 12 points and three rebounds in the losing effort as well.
Chattanooga was finally able to get back into the win column on Wednesday versus South Carolina State. The Mocs had a 32-23 edge at halftime, then scored another 46 points in the second for a 78-66 victory in the end. Jordan Frison was tops on 17 points, six assists and five rebounds. Teddy Washington added 16 points, four assists and three boards while Collin Mulholland had 12 points and four boards alongside two assists.

North Alabama vs Chattanooga Prediction
I’ll probably stay with Chattanooga, but this one’s a coin flip. The Mocs did a decent job against a winless and cold-shooting (29.5 percent) South Carolina State team this week in their most recent win. Chattanooga had 44.9 percent shooting themselves with a 36-30 rebounding edge and 17 team assists. It was a much-needed victory following a trio of losses, and was also the Mocs’ second-highest scoring total of the year (outside of 92 versus an overmatched Union Kentucky team in the opener).
As for North Alabama, they realistically weren’t going to do much versus Clemson this week—and they didn’t. The Lions shot just 36.7 percent from the field and got beaten on the boards 44-28 in the 20-point loss. Chattanooga will be closer to North Alabama’s wheelhouse, though.
