Matched up against Liberty on Wednesday the Hens were in a good spot by halftime, staying out in front 30-29. Delaware was outscored 46-39 the rest of the way however, eventually falling 75-69 in the end. The Hens leading team scorer was Justyn Fernandez with 21 points, five rebounds and four assists. Macon Emory added 19 points with five rebounds in 35 minutes as well.

I’ll lean toward Delaware but I’m probably not touching this one in reality. The Hens shot very well (51 percent) from the field in their loss to Liberty this week, posting just six turnovers alongside a 28-24 edge on points in the paint. Delaware gave up 51.1 percent shooting on defense though, and had just nine free throws (making eight for 88.9 percent) to the Flames’ 20 attempts (making 18 for 90 percent). The Hens are just 1-6 in their last seven games.

As for Middle Tennessee, they shot only 37.5 percent from the field with a 43-36 rebounding deficit and 11 turnovers in their lates loss to FIU. The Raiders have lost four straight games now, scoring fewer than 66 points in three of those. This one’s a coin flip but it should at least be competitive.
