Miami-OH RedHawks Betting Preview
Miami-OH has been on a great run so far this year. Across their blemish-free ride the RedHawks have dispatched Old Dominion, Trinity Christian IL, Air Force, Mercyhurst, AR-PineBluff, UNC Greensboro, Indiana University East, Maine, UNC Asheville, Eastern Kentucky, Wright State, Ball State, Milligan, Bowling Green, Akron, Western Michigan, Toledo, Central Michigan, Buffalo, Kent State, UMass, Northern Illinois and Buffalo in succession for a perfect 23-0 run.
On Tuesday in the Buffalo matchup, the RedHawks were sitting in the locker room with a fairly slim 38-35 advantage. Miami was outscored 36-35 the rest of the way but managed to hang on for the tense victory on the road 73-71 in the end. Luke Skaljac was tops on 19 points with four rebounds and three assists while Brant Byers had 11 points with two rebounds in 28 minutes of work.
Marshall Thundering Herd Betting Preview
Over on the Marshall side, they went 5-1 over their first six games before a three-game losing skid in November and December. The Herd won six of their next seven games with a lone loss to Troy mixed in there, and went 3-3 over the next six. Those losses were versus Georgia State, Coastal Carolina and Texas State. That would give Marshall a 14-8 record in their first 22 games.
In game 23 versus Southern Miss on Wednesday the Herd took a four-point deficit into the locker room 38-34. Marshall got it going in the second half on a 47-39 run however, and took the comeback win at home 81-77. Wyatt Fricks put up 25 points with seven rebounds and Noah Otshudi added 17 points with six assists. Jalen Speer put up 15 points and eight assists as well.

Miami-OH vs Marshall Prediction
I’ll take a stab on Marshall. The Herd started slowly in their win over Southern Miss this week, but ended up shooting a nice 53.7 percent from the field with a 30-24 edge in the paint. It wasn’t perfect though, as Marshall got out-rebounded 36-24 and had 11 turnovers. The Herd are now 4-1 in their last five games, posting 70 or more points in all four of those victories.
As for Miami-OH, they eked out another heart-attack win versus Buffalo this week. The RedHawks shot a stellar 55.2 percent from the field with an okay 27.3 percent (6-of-22) from outside, but got to the line just six times (making three). The 31-26 rebounding deficit and 13 turnovers didn’t do them any favors. Miami-OH should have the edge here as well but I think the Herd can power out a cover if all goes to plan.
