Virginia Cavaliers Betting Preview
Over on the Cavaliers’ side, they’ve had some pretty routine games so far this year. The first came in the opener versus Rider, as Virginia kicked off with a 42-32 first half in an 87-53 win. Thijs De Ridder topped the team on 21 points and 10 boards for a double-double, while Johann Grunloh had 12 points with seven rebounds. Three other Cavs players had 11 points as well. In game two versus NC Central it was more of the same. Virginia had a 42-25 edge at the break in an 81-62 win. Marshall vs Virginia Prediction
I’m going to take a stab on Marshall here. This obviously will be the Herd’s toughest challenge so far this year, but they’ve done well over their first three outings. Marshall shot a nice 54.1 percent from the field in their latest win over Elon, but did miss seven of 22 free throws (68.2 percent), got out-rebounded 35-31 and had 14 turnovers—there’s plenty to clean up. Marshall is looking good offensively with 78 or more points in all three games thus far, however they’ve also given up 72 or more points in each of those as well. The Cavaliers should have plenty of scoring opportunities in a healthy total.
