Longwood vs. St. Joseph’s Prediction

I like backing teams that have a game under their belt over those that don’t, but I’m not sure what playing Pfeiffer does for a team. Even without a game yet, St. Joseph’s is talented and a group that could win the A-10 this season. I’m fairly high on these Hawks, and if this outlook is correct, this is a game St. Joseph’s should win comfortably.

Thick line for a season opener, but I’m going to lay the points with St. Joseph’s, a team I expect to win a lot and make a statement.

The Longwood Lancers are shooting 48 percent from beyond the arc and 44 percent from the free-throw line. Saint Joseph’s Hawks Betting Preview

Saint Joseph’s won 24 games last season and enters year two under coach Steve Donahue. Saint Joseph’s hasn’t made the big dance since the 2015-16 season.

There’s a lot of roster turnover on Saint Joseph’s, but it does bring back one of the better players in the A-10 in Jaiden Glover-Toscano. Austin Williford was also an A-10 all-rookie last season. Sean Logan comes over from Davidson, and Logan Carey is a defensive player from Maine. There’s a core here with this Saint Joseph’s roster, and if things break right, it could lead to an NCAA Tournament berth. There’s momentum from a solid season, and this group should defend at an above-average level. Saint Joseph’s will compete for an A-10 title this season. Don’t sleep.
