Little Rock Trojans Betting Preview
The Trojans kicked off the season with an ugly run, taking just two wins over their first 11 games overall. Little Rock has gotten much better since then on a 7-2 stretch across nine games. The Trojans have recorded wins over Southern Indiana, Williams Baptist, Tennessee Tech, SIU Edwardsville, Lindenwood, Eastern Illinois and Western Illinois in that time for a 9-11 record this year.
Last Thursday versus Southeast Missouri State, the Trojans were down by three points at the break 33-30. Little Rock didn’t end up getting any closer than that on a 37-35 second half, and eventually took the loss on the road 70-65 in the end. Johnathan Lawson led the team with 21 points, five rebounds and two assists while Kachi Nzeh had 13 points with six rebounds and two assists.
Tennessee State Tigers Betting Preview
Over on the Tennessee State side, they limped to a 2-3 run over their first five, then beat UNC Asheville, Tennessee Wesleyan, Chattanooga, UNLV, TN-Martin, Tennessee Tech, Little Rock and Western Illinois in the next 10 games. A 3-2 run came next with losses to Eastern Illinois and SIU Edwardsville over the next five games. That would give the Tigers a 13-7 run across their first 20 outings.
The Tigers were originally scheduled to meet up with Tennessee Tech on Tuesday, but that one was postponed due to the weather conditions. Tennessee State will instead host the Golden Eagles on Monday, February 2. The men’s game will tip off at 7:30 p.m. local time, and tickets purchased for the originally scheduled contest will be honored for the rescheduled matchup.

Little Rock vs Tennessee State Prediction
I’ll stick with Little Rock I suppose. The Trojans shot pretty poorly from the field in their latest loss to SEMO, hitting just 36.7 percent with a 35-31 rebounding deficit and a 32-18 disadvantage on points in the paint. Little Rock didn’t play too badly otherwise but still took the road loss. The Trojans had won four straight games prior to that, scoring 73 or more points in all of those victories.
These teams last saw each other back on January 3 in an 84-79 home loss for Little Rock. In that one the Trojans performed adequately with a reasonable 44.1 percent shooting and 34 rebounds. The 14 turnovers and the 50-34 deficit in the paint really added up, though. If Little Rock can get a little more aggressive under the basket this time I think they can power one out on the road in the rematch.
