The Delta Devils beat Mississippi University for Women in their second outing, and since then they’ve lost 20 straight games to the likes of Utah Tech, Texas A&M, Kansas State, Florida State, West Virginia, Oklahoma and AR-Pine Bluff. The Devils have a 1-21 record this season.

I’ll take a stab on MS Valley State but I’m not touching this one. There’s not a lot to get excited about here. The Delta Devils are coming off another home loss to AR-Pine Bluff, shooting a very nice 47.9 percent from the field but just 20 percent (2-of-10) from outside. MS Valley State also got outscored in the paint 36-28 and had 15 turnovers along the way. The Devils did manage to reach the 70-point mark for the first time since November 25 versus Texas A&M (84), but they’re still hemorrhaging points on defense.

As for Jackson State, they shot a tepid 41.5 percent from the field versus Southern in their latest loss and got drilled in the paint 44-18. The Tigers have a winnable game on the road here, but MS Valley State certainly has the capability to be competitive themselves.
