I’ll lean toward Southern Miss. The Eagles played a pretty sloppy game versus a good Miami team in their last outing though, so they’ll need to tighten things up. Southern Miss hit a decent 44 percent from the field in that one but only 23 percent (3-of-13) from outside and had a whopping 20 turnovers leading to 24 Hurricanes points. The loss halts a four-game win streak for Southern Miss; the Eagles had hit 70 points or more in each of those wins as well.

These teams last saw each other back on November 13 in a 75-70 win for Grambling at Fredrick C Hobdy Assembly Center. The Tigers shot a nice 54 percent in that one with 45 percent (9-of-20) from outside. Grambling did have 17 turnovers however, and got out-rebounded 37-28 along the way. Southern Miss shot a pretty ugly 38 percent from the field and 25 percent (4-of-16) from 3-point range, along with 62 percent on 18-of-29 from the line. Provided the Eagles can elevate that shooting percentage in the home rematch, I think Southern Miss will be in good shape here.
