The Tigers managed to open the year on a nice 3-1 run, but then fell versus San Diego, Cal Baptist, UC Riverside, Tulane and Southern Miss in the next five. The next six games were a 5-1 run though, as Grambling fell to only Ohio State among wins over Norfolk State, Hampton, Centenary LA, Prairie View and Texas Southern. That gives the Tigers an 8-7 overall record in their first 15 games this year.
Back on Monday versus Texas Southern, the Tigers were sitting in the locker room on a 40-34 edge. Grambling posted a 44-33 run the rest of the way, finishing off a nice win 84-67 in the end. Roderick Coffee led the team with 21 points, seven boards and two assists. Derrius Ward added 20 points with five rebounds and three assists while Devyn Franklin chipped in 10 points as well.

Grambling vs Bethune-Cookman Prediction
I’ll stick with Grambling. The Tigers are coming off a solid win at home over a struggling Texas Southern team, shooting 49.1 percent from the field and 12-of-28 (42.9 percent) from outside. Grambling had a 32-25 rebounding edge but also notched 12 turnovers and a tepid nine team assists. Still, that makes five wins in the last six games for the Tigers, who have scored 76 or more points in each of those victories.
As for B-CU, they had a bad second half at home against a not-so-great Florida A&M squad but still powered out the four-point win in the end. The Wildcats shot a nice 53.8 percent from the field in that one and had only six turnovers. Bethune-Cookman has scored 71 or more points in three straight games, but they’ve also given up 82 or more points in five straight.
