I’m with UNC-Asheville here. I’m not going to lie, I thought that UNC-Asheville would definitely go through a bit of an adjustment season after losing their best player and heart and soul from last year’s team in Drew Pember. Instead, UNC-Asheville’s kind of picked up right where they left off and have been playing some really solid ball since the start of conference play. Gardner-Webb was somewhat battle-tested in the non-conference portion of their schedule, but I do think that in this matchup, they’re overmatched here as UNC-Asheville is just the better team with far more scoring depth side-by-side. Give me UNC-Asheville at home in this one.
