In this article we will formulate an Eastern Washington vs UCLA prediction for this College Basketball game on Monday, November 3rd at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, California. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this College Basketball matchup.
Eastern Washington Eagles Betting Preview
The Eastern Washington Eagles went 10-22 (6-12) last season and they finished 8th in the Big Sky standings. Eastern Washington started the season with a 76-56 loss to Colorado, but did win their second game by a score of 93-86 against Seattle. The Eagles really struggled for most of the season, but did win four games in a row in February, before ending the regular season with five straight losses. Eastern Washington lost to Northern Arizona by a score of 66-53 in their first game of the Big Sky Tournament to finish the year. The Eagles scored 71.3 points per game, which ranked 249th in the country, while they allowed 75.5 points against per game, which ranked 284th.
This year, Eastern Washington has to replace three of their top five scorers from last season, but they do return Andrew Cook and Emmett Marquardt, who combined for about 26 points and 8 rebounds per game. The Eagles should benefit from having their leading scorer (Cook) back on the court this year, but he will need the supporting cast to really step up.
UCLA Bruins Betting Preview
The UCLA Bruins were 23-11 (13-7) last year and they finished 4th in the Big Ten standings. UCLA opened the season with an 85-50 win over Rider, but they did lose their second game to New Mexico by a score of 72-64. The Bruins were 11-2 through their first 13 games, but did hit a rough patch in January. UCLA finished the regular season by winning 11 of their last 14 games, but did lose their first game in the Big Ten tournament against Wisconsin by a score of 86-70. UCLA defeated Utah State in the NCAA Tournament by a score of 72-47, but lost to Tennessee by a score of 67-58 to end the season. The Bruins scored 74.2 points per game, which ranked 164th, while they allowed 65.2 points against per game, which ranked 22nd.
This season, UCLA returns three of their top four scorers from last season, which should allow them to get off to another great start. Tyler Bilodeau, Eric Dailey Jr, and Skyy Clark combined for about 33 points and 11 rebounds per game, which was a ton for a lower scoring UCLA team.

Eastern Washington vs UCLA Prediction
UCLA rolls into this season looking to build on the momentum from last year, where they made it to the Round of 32 and battled in the Big Ten. The Bruins have quite a bit of production returning from last year, which is very rare for most teams with today’s transfer portal. Eastern Washington had a very disappointing 24-25 season and while Cook should lead the way, I don’t think they are going to be great this year either. I expect UCLA to start very fast in this game, but their defense will set the tone just like it did last year. Take the under here.
