Dartmouth vs Marist Prediction
I’ll stay with Marist. The Foxes are bringing in a very young group this season in something of a restocking effort. That said, there’s plenty of talent here for Marist to be competitive. Expect to hear names like Dwayne Chess and Brady MacAdams repeatedly this year. Defense is going to be key with this team; last year the Foxes ranked fifth nationally in scoring defense (63.8 PPG) and will try to emphasize that again in 2026-27.
As for Dartmouth, they have a few holdovers on the roster which will help a bit with chemistry. In addition to McNamee, the Green will have Niko Abusara (5.4 PPG) and Patrick Tivnan (1.0 PPG), who will both contribute if all goes well. There’s not a lot of experience on the roster though, so Dartmouth may have a rough road in the early-going.

Dartmouth Big Green Betting Preview
The Big Green didn’t have the greatest campaign in 2025-26, and actually took a step backward from their .500 run the previous season. Dartmouth went 11-16 overall with a 5-9 run in Ivy League play, which put them ahead of only Princeton and Brown in the standings. The Green finished off the season with an ugly 1-6 run over their final seven outings.
This year Dartmouth will have a clean slate coming in. The Big Green add first-year head coach Brett MacConnell to the sideline, and he’ll have to replace all of last year’s starting group. Both Kareem Thomas and Connor Amundsen (the team’s top two scorers) have left the school via transfer. There are a few familiar faces left though, like junior guard Cameron McNamee.
Marist Red Foxes Betting Preview
Over on the Marist side, they fared quite a bit better last season. The Foxes went 19-12 overall with a 12-8 run in MAAC play, putting the team in fifth place among the standings. Merrimack, Saint Peter’s, Siena and Quinnipiac all finished better. After beating Quinnipiac in the MAAC Tournament, Marist’s season was ended in the semifinals by Merrimack 58-57.
Coming into the 2026-27 season, the Foxes have a familiar face on the sideline in head coach John Dunne. He’ll be going into his ninth year at the school and 21st year overall. Point guard Jadin Collins-Roberts is back in the mix after 7.2 PPG and 4.5 RPG a season ago. His presence was vital amid all the Foxes’ injuries last season.
