I’ll lean toward Texas-Arlington but you could make a case either way. The Mavs started slowly in their road win over a struggling Southern Utah team last weekend, but to their credit they eventually shot 51.9 percent from the field and 57.9 percent (11-of-19) from outside. TX-Arlington did have 13 turnovers but they were at least competitive in most other metrics. The 86 points were nice to see as well, following seven straight games with fewer than 70 points scored.

As for Abilene Christian, they bagged a nice road win over a pretty decent Tarleton State team this week, shooting a stellar 55.8 percent from the field and 41.2 percent (7-of-17) from outside along with a 30-24 rebounding edge. the 18 turnovers and 46-32 deficit in the paint didn’t help, though. If the Wildcats can keep the offense up here, we’ll have a pretty fun matchup on our hands.
