Sacred Heart Pioneers Betting Preview
The Pioneers have had a couple of good runs going this season, but overall it’s been a struggle. Sacred Heart went 4-5 in the first nine games, taking losses to Temple, UConn, Dartmouth, Holy Cross, and Brown along the way. A 2-7 stretch came after that with losses to Quinnipiac, Albany, Miami Ohio, Merrimack, Mount St. Mary’s, Siena, and Saint Peter’s. Following a string of five straight wins over Canisius, Niagara, Manhattan, Rider, and Fairfield, the Pioneers lost their next two games versus Quinnipiac and Siena. That would give Sacred Heart an 11-14 overall run through their first 25 games of the 2025-25 campaign.Â
On Friday versus Merrimack, Sacred Heart went into the break with a 29-29 tie. The Pioneers finished on a 31-30 run and took the eventual victory 60-59 in dramatic fashion. Anquan Hill notched a double-double with 17 points and 10 boards along the way. Tanner Thomas added 12 points with seven rebounds and one assist, while Bryce Johnson had 10 bench points and 10 boards for a double-double of his own.Â
St. Peter’s Peacocks Betting Preview
Over on the Peacocks’ side, they’ve had a solid stretch or two themselves this year but overall they’ve struggled. St. Peter’s beat UMBC, Saint Elizabeth, Fairleigh Dickinson, and Duquesne in their first seven games, then hit a 3-5 run that featured losses to Manhattan, Iona, Quinnipiac, Niagara, and Marist among wins over Delaware, Canisius, and Sacred Heart. After a five-game losing streak versus Merrimack, Rider, Mount St. Mary’s, Siena, and Manhattan, the Peacocks picked up wins over Fairfield and Rider in the next pair. That would give Saint Peter’s a 9-13 start across their first 22 outings of the year.Â
Matched up against Mount St. Mary’s on Friday, the Peacocks held a 36-30 edge by the break. St. Peter’s was outscored 39-22 the rest of the way however, resulting in a 69-58 loss in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Marcus Randolph with 17 points, two rebounds, and two assists. Bryce Eaton added 12 points with three rebounds in 22 minutes off the bench, and Mouhamed Sow had six points and 15 rebounds in 36 minutes of work.Â

Sacred Heart vs St. Peter’s PredictionÂ
I’ll lean toward St. Peter’s, but you could call this one either way. The Peacocks weren’t great in their last matchup versus a pretty decent Mount St. Mary’s team either. In that one St. Peter’s shot just 31.6 percent from the field and 4-of-28 (14.3 percent) from 3-point range alongside a 44-36 rebounding deficit. Saint Peter’s has been below 67 points in 12 of their last 13 games, so they’ll want to keep the scoreboard manageable here.Â
The last time these teams met up back on January 18, St. Peter’s pulled off a 66-61 road victory. The Peacocks shot fairly well in that one (43.8 percent); the Pioneers didn’t (30 percent). Saint Peter’s had a dominant 42-31 edge on the boards but also coughed up a whopping 21 turnovers for 13 Pioneers points. Provided the Peacocks can clean up the miscues in this home rematch, however, I think St. Peter’s will be in pretty good shape.Â
