Milwaukee Panthers Betting Preview
The Panthers’ season kicked off on a spotty 1-2 run with a win over Lakeland followed by losses to Northern Iowa and Longwood. Milwaukee would hit their stride over the next four outings with wins over Duquesne, Portland State, Wofford, and St. Thomas-Minnesota, then fell to UCF and Southern Miss in the ensuing pair of outings. The Panthers got hot again starting in December, though. The next five outings were all wins, courtesy of Cleveland State, Green Bay, Akron, North Central College, and IUPUI for a 10-4 run through their first 14 games this year.
Matched up against Oakland on Thursday, the Panthers saw their nice win streak come to an abrupt end with a rough performance. Milwaukee was in trouble on a 33-23 halftime deficit and didn’t end up getting any closer on a 32-26 second for a 65-49 defeat. Leading scorers Jamichael Stillwell (nine rebounds; two assists) and Themus Fulks (five rebounds; one steal) each contributed 14 points. Kentrell PUllian was the next-highest scorer on just seven points, while Esyah Pippa-White led the bench scorers on a measly three points in one minute.
Detroit Titans Betting Preview
Over on the Detroit side, they came out of the gate with a 3-2 stretch. Those wins came over Cleary University, Niagara, and Ball State. Otherwise, it was losses to Loyola Chicago and Toledo. Following losses to Wake Forest, Tulsa, and Rhode Island in the next trio, Detroit took out Eastern Michigan and Purdue Fort Wayne in the next pair. A losing streak followed, however, as the Titans fell versus Wright State, Davidson, Northern Kentucky, Wisconsin, and Youngstown State in succession over the next quintet of games for a 5-10 start overall.
In their game against Robert Morris on Thursday, the Titans were facing a 10-point deficit with a 31-21 score by halftime. Detroit stormed back in the second, however, notching 47 points and eventually winning the game in overtime 78-76. Orlando Lovejoy piloted the comeback win on his 32 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Emmanuel Kuac added 16 points with four rebounds and two assists, while Legend Geeter added 10 points with three rebounds.

Milwaukee vs Detroit Prediction
I’ll likely stick with Milwaukee. The Panthers really need a shot in the arm here after a rough outing versus a 5-10 Oakland team. Milwaukee shot just 36.4 percent from the field and 27.8 percent (5-of-18) from outside in that one, getting out-rebounded 36-32 along the way. The 15 turnovers for 13 Grizzlies points didn’t help matters, either. Prior to that ugly loss Thursday, Milwaukee had scored 79 or more points in five straight victories. Getting a bit of that mojo back here would really help, so it’ll be important to get off to a nice start on the scoreboard during Saturday’s game.
As for Detroit, they get credit for a gutsy comeback win on Thursday versus Robert Morris. The Titans shot 46.3 percent from the field in that one but weren’t very good from 3-point range (3-of-12 for 25 percent) or on the glass (a 45-38 deficit). Still, it was a much-needed win and marked the first time the Titans had been above 64 points in a five-game span. All of that said, I don’t think Detroit will be able to handle Milwaukee if the Panthers come back strong from their latest loss.
