South Dakota Coyotes Betting Preview

The Coyotes kicked off the year with three straight wins, taking out Southern U, East Texas A&M, and Mount Marty in succession. Game four was a tough matchup versus Iowa though, and a loss 96-77. Next came a win over Dakota Wesleyan.

In their Wednesday game versus Western Michigan, the Coyotes went into the second half trailing by one point. South Dakota hit a 47-42 run from there, however, and took the win 80-76. Quandre Bullock managed 20 points, and Cameron Fens doubled on 16 points and 10 boards. South Dakota will take on Nebraska after this one.

Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles Betting Preview

Over on the Southern Indiana side, they’ve got five games in the can so far. The Eagles kicked off the year with losses to DePaul, Bucknell, and Marshall for an 0-3 start. Southern Indiana finally got a win 71-69 versus Bellarmine last Wednesday.

In Saturday’s game against Fort Wayne, the Eagles fell back into the loss column. Southern Indiana was down 41-35 at halftime, then got pummeled 52-39 the rest of the way for a 93-74 result. Jared Washington put up 19 points and three boards to lead the way. Southern Indiana will play against Indiana State and Southern Illinois following this game.

South Dakota vs Southern Indiana Prediction

I’ll probably just stay with South Dakota here. On Wednesday the Coyotes started out fairly slow but closed strong for the four-point victory. South Dakota is scoring quite well this year; they’ve hit 77 or more points in every game and 80 or more in four of their five wins. I’d like to see a better first half on Friday, though.

As for Southern Indiana, it’s been a struggle this year. The Eagles haven’t scored too badly though; they’ve hit 69 or more points in four of five games. Southern Indiana has been giving up plenty of scoring on the other side though, so South Dakota should thrive here.
