The Fresno State Bulldogs will be out to rebound from a frustrating 2023-24 season where the Bulldogs finished 12-21 overall including 4-14 in Mountain West conference play. The Bulldogs knocked off Wyoming in the first round of the Mountain West tournament before falling to Utah State in the quarterfinals. The Bulldogs have a new voice at head coach with Vance Walberg taking over but the issue is that it’s basically a year-zero situation as only two Bulldogs from last year return and only one averaged more than 5 minutes per game in Jalen Weaver. Outside of that, it’s a lot of JUCO transfers and freshmen. Only time will tell if Walberg can shock the Mountain West world and do something with this situation, or if the Bulldogs are a year or two away from being a year or two away. Fresno State will take on CS Bakersfield, Prairie View A&M, Long Beach State, and Washington State after this game.
