Moving on to 2026, the Owls get head coach Jerry Mack back for his second year at the helm. The team had to scramble through the transfer portal to plug some heavy losses all across the board. I’m going to try West Georgia in this one. The Wolves need a good bounce-back after a pretty flat opener loss to Chattanooga, though. West Georgia gained just 219 total yards (181 passing) and 12 first downs in that one alongside a rough 2-of-11 result on third downs. The defense gave up 10-of-17 on the other side but did hold the Mocs to just 180 passing yards. There were bright spots, but there’s still plenty to fix.

As for the Owls, they’ve got a lot of work ahead. Kennesaw State will likely be looking quite different this season, and this will be our first look at how they’re going to play. Still, the Owls have plenty of upside and it wouldn’t be surprising to see them reach eight wins or so. It’ll be an interesting season to be sure.
