South Carolina Gamecocks Betting Preview
The Gamecocks’ season began on a 2-2 run with wins over Virginia Tech and South Carolina State ahead of losses to Vanderbilt and Missouri. The Gamecocks would beat Kentucky ahead of losses to LSU, Oklahoma and Alabama in the next three games. In the loss to the Tide at home, the Gamecocks went just 6-of-17 on third downs and had a couple of turnovers. South Carolina gave up 325 yards and 17 first downs on the other side along with two takeaways.
In their latest outing on November 1 versus Ole Miss, the Gamecocks gave up points in every quarter on the way to a 30-14 loss on the road. QB LaNorris Sellers finished with 180 yards, one TD and two picks on 16-of-30 passing. Rahsul Faison added 12 carries for 52 yards as the team’s top rusher and Neck Harbor had 69 yards and a TD of his own on three catches. Sellers added a rush score as well.
Texas A&M Aggies Betting Preview
Over on the Aggies’ side, they hit a nice win streak right out of the gate this year. Over their first eight games, Texas A&M took out UTSA, Utah State, Notre Dame, Auburn, Mississippi State, Florida, Arkansas and LSU in succession. In the 49-25 win over LSU on the road October 25, the Aggies held the Tigers to just 278 yards, 60 rush yards, 4.2 yards per play and 2-of-12 on third downs. Texas A&M gained 426 yarn with 224 rush yards on the other side in the win.
In last weekend’s matchup with Missouri, Texas A&M went into the locker room with a 14-0 halftime lead. Following a livelier second and a 24-17 edge from there, the Aggies took the victory in the end 38-17. QB Marcel Reed finished with a 20-of-29 line for 221 yards and two touchdowns. Rueben Owens led the rush with 13 carries for 102 yards and two touchdowns, while KC Concepcion had 84 yards and a score on four grabs as the top receiver in the win.

South Carolina vs Texas A&M Prediction
I’ll stick with the Aggies. Texas A&M didn’t have a ton of issues versus a tough Missouri team on the road last weekend. The Aggies held the opposition to just 284 yards, 77 pass yards, 17 first downs and 5-of-13 on third downs with a couple of takeaways. The offense gained 243 yards rushing with 6.8 yards per play and 21 first downs on the other side. Texas A&M has 31 or more points in five straight games now.
As for South Carolina, they didn’t look very good versus a talented Ole Miss team in their last outing. The Gamecocks posted just 230 total yards with two picks, 3.7 yards per play and 15 first downs along the way. The defense gave up 258 just in rushing yards on the other side, along with 19 first downs—but did have a victory with just 1-of-11 allowed on third downs. South Carolina has been below 23 points in all four games of this current losing streak, and I don’t see that changing here.
