I’ll lean toward Virginia Tech but the line’s thick enough that you could make a case the other way. The Hokies had no issue whatsoever with an overmatched VMI team in their opener. Virginia Tech rolled to 619 yards, 8.6 yards per play and 30 first downs. It wasn’t perfect though: the Hokies had two lost fumbles and 11 penalties for 93 yards.

As for Old Dominion, they racked up 319 yards in their win over Norfolk State. The defense was the star of the show though, giving up just 94 pass yards, 3.7 yards per play and 12 first downs alongside three takeaways. This weekend’s matchup will be a much better measuring stick for the Monarchs, and I don’t think they’ll quite get there. This one seems a coin flip, though.
